あり得ない事を過去で表す
I will fly to you
I would fly to you.

A true friend wouldn't say such a thing.

「I wish＋仮定法」などの表現
仮定法の予告
I wish I could fly in the sky.
I wish I were a bird.

I wish I could speak English.
If only I were a member of the rich family.

I wish there were thirty hours in a day.

Ifを使った仮定法（仮定法過去）
If を使って仮定であることを予告
If I were a bird, I would fly to you
　（過去を使う）だから仮定法過去と呼ぶ
If I had enough money, I would buy the book.
If I knew her phone number, I could call her.
If the car were not expensive, I could buy it.

If I had a lot of money, I could go abrord.

倒置の仮定法（Ifの省略）
Were I a bird, I could fly in the sky.
Were I you, I would apologize to Nancy.
Were I you, I would write to Nancy.
Were I rich, I could buy the car.
Were I in your place, I would not help her.

過去についての仮定（仮定法過去完了）
If I had known it, I would have help her.
If you had studied for the exam, you could have passed it.
If I had had enough money, I could have bought the car.
If I had known your address, I would have wtitten to you.
IFの省略と倒置
仮定法過去完了はこれが普通です、だって！！
Had I arrived at the airport 10 minutes earlier, I could have caught the plane.

未来についての仮定（should／were to）
万が一、可能性が低い未来を表現
If it should snow,I would/will stay at home.
ほとんどあり得ない未来
Even if the sun were to rise in the west, I wouldn't meet him.

If he should come here tomorrow, please give this letter to him.
Shallを使う表現に続けて、Ｓ+willやpleaseを使います。
What would you tell him, if he should come?
If I were to die tomorrow, what would become of my family?
　what will become of 名詞　「どうなるのだろう」
Should she change her mind, she will call me.
倒置もある。

仮定法過去完了＋仮定法過去
もしあの時だったら、今・・なのに。
If I had eaten breakfast, I wouldn't be hungry.
If I had worked harder in my youth, I would be richer now.
If he had taken the train, he wouln't be alive now.
If you had taken my advice, you would be happier now.
If she had got married to you, she would be happier now.

「If it were not for」などの表現
熟語として覚える
without 名詞　But for 名詞におきかえられる
If it were not for water, man could not live.
Without / But for water, man could not live.
If it had not been not for the traffic jam, we would have been in time.
Without / But for the traffic jam, we would have been in time.
If it were not for your advice, our project would fail.(フェイル)
Had it been for your home run, our team would not have won.
Were it not for the air and water, man could not live.
