This catchphrase seems me no meaning during the time of wars or conflicts. They need stonger weapons to defeat enemy, not music.

Music can not help survive people suffering from shortages of food and medicines. They are facing the death.

However even under the these imminent danger, both soldiers and common people sing favorite songs naturally without any intentions.

Why are we deeply impressed by instruental music which don't have lyrics?
Why are we moved by operatic arias written in foreign langueges which we don't understand?

Verbal comprehension is not necessarily In order to appreciate music. If we made bonds with other people without words, the world would have been more closly and friendly.
